Christmas bucket list 2021
I love traditions. I did not have many, but I am starting to create new ones.
The first Christmas tradition I started three or four years ago was baking Christmas cookies with one of my friends. I love it and it means a lot to me and I sure hope that my friend who dutifully bakes with me every year enjoys it as much as I do. I sometimes ask myself why baking cookies is not popular with the rest of the population, though I must confess I like making them more than eating them.
Cookie-wise I like thumbprint cookies a lot, they are no-fuss but lots of flavour. I would love to give these three recipes a try:
This year I want to start a new tradition, baking Christmas yule logs. So fist thing on my bucket list is this cake from Nigella.
I really wanted to make some winter vegetables for a long time, but never did it, so I hope this year I will try to do it, for example this here.
My second tradition is: I watch every year one version of "A Christmas carol". As Christmas is almost here and I did not have a lot of watching time, this year I have a short list of things to watch;
- Scrooged - continuing the tradition to watch a version of "A Christmas carol", this time a version with Bill Murray
- Die hard - no clue why this should be a Christmas movie, but this year I'll find out
This year I did nit have lots of times to prepare my book wishlist for Christmas, but if I can, I’ll try to read some of these books:
The Anomaly
Winter in paradise
The winter soldier
